Trung Nguyen

Trung has a broad and varied litigation practice. He practiced for over 20 years at some of Canada's largest and most well known Bay Street firms. He is often retained by victims of fraud or on conflict matters referred to him by other lawyers.

Trung received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Economics from Queen's University in Kingston, where he was awarded the Sesquicentennial Scholarship, Queen's second highest entrance scholarship. He went to law school at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he obtained a Specialization in International, Comparative and Transnational Law. At law school, Trung was awarded the Goodman Carr Award for Academic Excellence.

Trung has taught Trial Advocacy at the University of Toronto. He has presented at legal and industry conferences on fraud, enforcement and extraordinary remedies. He received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for his work as a board member of the Vietnamese Association, Toronto. Trung continues to devote a portion of his practice to community and pro bono causes, particularly for low-income individuals, refugees and social justice causes.

When not litigating, Trung can be found outdoors with his family or cheering on his beloved Raptors. He is the proud father of two young children, ages 5 and 7, who have already demonstrated much greater powers of persuasion than their father.
